I always enjoy a good action and adventure movie.  The main character embarks on a journey that inevitably has them hit a low physically and mentally.  It’s at this moment I will determine if I like the movie or not.

I am always interested to see how the producer and actor will pull off an impossible situation. I want to see how that character reaches down deep and becomes stronger in order to rise to the challenge.  Similar to the stories I have heard about mothers lifting up cars to save a child.

I firmly believe this power resides inside all of us.  However, like in the movies and my past, most people need to hit a low to unleash what I call our inner warrior.  To be honest even hitting a low won’t unleash someones inner warrior because of some barriers they have (I will cover these soon).  Yet the warrior still lies inside everyone and I am going to show you how to tap into your hidden warrior, without have to hit a low.

Barriers to Your Inner Warrior

In step 1 of the NAC Warrior Roadmap we address how to awaken the inner warrior.  Most of you are running on auto pilot and are living in a routine that feels comfortable.  Anything that deviates from this routine, the brain will fight to bring you back to that comfort zone.  By waking up your inner warrior you can break routines and create more comfortable and empowering ones. To do that, we first have to address two barriers.

The first barrier is willpower.  Some of you may call unleashing the inner warrior your willpower, but there is a difference for the NAC Warrior.  Willpower is what is needed at first to awaken the inner warrior because it takes effort.  Yet the NAC Warrior practices unleashing their inner warrior until it becomes effortless.  Most people don’t practice and therefore always need to call upon willpower to awaken their inner warrior.

The second barrier is limiting identity and beliefs.  If you have limiting beliefs and/or identities you have to address this first.  Beliefs and identity are what the brain uses to keep you comfortable (it’s like a force field).  If you have limiting beliefs and identities, it is most likely the reason you are failing to stay healthy and fit.

Most individuals will try to use will power to temporarily take down the force field.  Yet the brain is habitual and will immediately put the force field back up (hence why people say willpower does not work).  Taking down the force field involves us going deep, where the brain holds the lock to the force field.  Usually this requires an outside party to unlock, but I have seen people who can do it on their own (the NAC Warrior Roadmap helps unlock the force field).

Once the force field is down, and with practice, the warrior can be unleashed at any time without any effort. I have a process in which the NAC Warrior can use the inner warrior to create a new and powerful habit. For now, I am going to only show you how to unleash your warrior.

Steps to Unleash Your Inner Warrior

Let’s assume you have no limiting beliefs or identity issues and are ready to practice unleashing your hidden warrior.  Then there are two steps to making it happen: Opening the door and Tapping into the power.

3 Steps To Open Your Warrior’s Door (Getting Into State)

In order to unleash your inner warrior, you first have to open the door. In other words, you have to be in a state that resonates with your warrior. In order to do that, just follow these 3 steps.

Step 1: Visualize- You need to visualize what your inner warrior looks like in a powerful stance.

Step 2: Get Detailed- Now that you see your inner warrior, you will want to notice the details. How is your warrior breathing, how are they standing, how are the holding their arms, whats the facial expressions, what are they thinking, etc. ? The more details you can visualize the better.

Step 3: Duplicate:- With the details in mind, you will now mimic every thing you see in the vision. You may have naturally done most of it, just by visualizing it.

The closer you can get to the vision of your powerful inner warrior, the more the door will open.  The more the door is open, the more energy and power you will be able to access.

2 Steps To Tap Into Your Inner Warrior’s Power (Power Move)

Now that the door is open we can now tap into your warrior’s power using a power move. A power move is another word for a state in movement. This could be a change of breath, an intense emotional change, intense movement, and/or even a vocal cry out.  Typically you see this when someone gets a goal/point in a sport or a war cry, it’s different for each of us. Here are the two steps to tap into that warrior power of yours.

Step 1: Visualize- Again see what your warrior is doing to “power up”.  Maybe sports is not your thing, so what would your warrior look like if it had to power up to save a loved one.

Step 2: Duplicate- You want to go from the open door position and mimic everything your inner warrior does into the power move.

To be clear your power move does not have to be that exaggerated. It make no sense to shout like you are in battle at a birthday party when trying to decide if you are going to eat that ice cream.  It helps to practice unleashing your warrior at full power, at first, to see and feel how truly powerful you really are.  Then you can use a “quieter” version to be at the appropriate level.

We can use our inner warrior to easily put us in a state that gives us a greater possibility to overcome an obstacle, temptation, or make a confident decision. If we practice it enough we can call it whenever we need to.

Typically the NAC Warrior will use their inner warrior to make new habits. They will use their inner warrior to anchor a powerful state to the new habit they want. They will also use it to temporarily get motivated (another topic) or make a decision they won’t regret.

If you think this sounds silly, beneath you, above you, or uncomfortable; go see barrier #2.  There is a reason athletes are able to do things we find incredible.  We also see what happens when they fall apart. Their performance is related to how much they can tap into their inner warrior as they preform. Thats why we see them “show boating”, they are doing it to tap into their inner warrior.
